The role

We are looking for a talented and driven Investment Associate to be part of our Danish investment and development team.

The right candidate will help us build and accelerate our deal pipeline with focus on underwriting and completing real estate transactions. You will join an experienced deals and development team that aims to build a portfolio and development pipeline of up to 8-10 larger sites before the end of 2023.

Joining an experienced team with a flat leadership structure is a unique opportunity for a steep learning curve and to quickly get exposure to all elements of the investment and development value chain. You will not spend your entire day making powerpoints for middle management – instead, you will work directly with the principal decision makers who are some of the most seasoned professionals in the Danish real estate Industry. For the right candidate, this will be a door opener into more senior and complex tasks.

Your core responsibilities will be to:

• Be responsible for all our underwriting, from initial high level deal feasibility evaluation to final investment committee material
• Run supporting analysis for investment strategy, e.g. looking into supply-demand imbalances in various DK geographies
• Support early sourcing efforts such as identifying new plot opportunities
• Help structure deals, e.g. JV deals with partners, with main focus on making the underwriting model
• Develop materials to be used in meetings with external stakeholders such as plot owners and municipalities
• Work directly with banks to optimize financing and debt structure on existing developments and assets
• Work with lawyers and other third-party advisors on LOI and sales agreements, etc.

Qualifications we’d hope you have

We are looking for someone who is driven, with a strong sense of responsibility, and ability to think 80/20 to enable quick progression. The perfect candidate has previous experience with financial underwriting models and investment memorandums plus executing data/fact based analyses.

In other words, we imagine that you bring:

• 1-3 years of work experience within real estate investments, management consulting, private equity, corporate finance – or other relevant experience that provide a functional base to perform underwriting analysis
• Industry experience from real estate is a strong plus - but a strong functional foundation and strong intrinsics are more important
• A “self-starter” mentality – you enjoy getting responsibility and can manage your own workstreams
• You thrive in a dynamic environment where making progress is much more important than the perfect answer
• Attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities
• Strong English communication skills – both written and verbal
